“We are seeing a disruption and a change in behavior,” says Gary Keller, owner of Keller Williams.
How people use tech is changing.
We were all physically based, and now we are now digitally based.
I don’t know if we will or if we want to go back.
We’ve built new habits and relationships in different ways.
Some agents and brokers are having their best years ever.
We are going to see new partnerships come out of this in the forms of strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions.
Brad Inman says we are in the midst of a digital spring. “I expect more cooperation and less fighting. We are all in this together. All barriers are down.”
According to Keller, both the tech enabled consumer and agent wins in our current and future environment. The agent has to be both physical and digital. This agent wins.
The platform wins. The platform built to know the exact place the consumer is in, and can help the agent capitalize will be key in future success.
Keller says Keller Williams will keep their hundreds of nationwide offices. “There is still a need for physical offices. There are limitations to going solely digital. Some agents are much more productive if they have a place outside of their homes to work.”
