Kristi Kennelly, with Realtor.com shares with real estate agents what they can and should be doing to build their online marketing.
Kristi Kennelly knows discomfort. As a former Broadway star, she played the understudy to Sarah Jessica Parker. She talks about remembering the night her role was announced, and feeling the let down of the audience when they realized they would not be watching SJP. She calls that “gut feeling” personal growth. Pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone can be difficult, but it is necessary.
How can you push yourself outside of your “comfort zone” in your real estate business?
Today, video marketing is everything. Statistics are showing video messages are played and opened more than any other kind of message.
Kennelly suggests agents ask themselves, “how can video replace current tasks?”
Taking time to show your face to your clients goes a long way. Especially, if you can make the message personal. Kennelly tells of a friend who writes the clients names on an index card and shows it at the beginning of the video clip. Doing this allows the client to see the agent with their name written out, and it sparks curiosity. He is closing 30% of all incoming leads.
Video marketing is effective. It’s more likely to be retained, opened, and viewed. She shows a video of her friend Rachel Adams Lee who is closing 14% of all incoming leads. She takes one minute to send each lead a personalized video, including stating their name.
This all sounds great, right? But where do you start? Kennelly suggests starting slow. First, get comfortable! Here are some ideas she suggests as well as her top marketing tools:
